Turnkey project carried out by OMAS TECHNOLOGY in Romania

• Construction of a 150 T/DAY corn grinding facility at low maintenance and energy costs for the beneficiary Marsat, a company from Roman, Neamț county.

At the client's request, the Italian company Omas managed to build a 150 TDP corn milling plant, flexible to produce more than 30 types of grind, with low maintenance and energy costs and remarkable space efficiency.

The corn milling facility was built within an existing building, a former feed mill. Grandmas took over the project, revolutionizing not only the milling concept by introducing its cutting-edge technologies, but also the entire structure, by planning a unique design that allowed a maximum rationalization of the pre-existing spaces, while leaving free space for future projects.

The strengths of choosing the Omas company were the following:

Economy in construction: thanks to automation, the engine floor is removed, allowing it to be used for other purposes;

Turnkey project: in addition to the grinding line, Omas provided the automation system, the cleaning and degermination section, as well as the wrapping and packaging lines for the finished products;

Consulting service offered by Omas to the client during the preliminary stages of the project and until the commissioning of the facility.

The new mill marched for the corn line was officially inaugurated as early as 2022 and represents yet another proof of the professionalism of Omas Industries in the field of milling.

Thanks to the mill Leonardo and patented technology Omas Flexy Mill it was possible to obtain products with different specifications depending on the grinding parameters. Omas managed to successfully transform the former feed mill, which had been decommissioned for a long time, into a sustainable facility that optimizes space to the maximum and significantly reduces CO2 emissions thanks to the patented energy regeneration system OKS – Omas Kers System.

Outstanding efficiency of existing spaces

Following the client's requests, the new setup and design of the facility allowed Grandmas to rationalize the available space as much as possible, allowing part of the building space to be left free for the implementation of future projects.

The mill stretches vertically over a total of 10 floors and has been equipped with the most innovative Omas machinery, including Leonardo roller mills, the benchmark of the Italian company's technology, equipped with motors Torque which allow energy savings of up to 15kw/ton. Completing the grinding plant is the Plansifter Galileo with 8 channels with technology Dew Point Free, degerminators, measuring devices and raw material cleaning machines.

Also, specialized machines were installed in the factory for packing and wrapping the finished product.

The installation is automatically operated by an electrical system equipped with a controller and a Scada operating software that collects the information needed to manage the yields and energy consumption of the different work sections, to allow the optimization of the technological process.

The best Omas technicians they ensured that all steps leading to the installation of the grinding plant were carried out at a high level of professionalism, providing both on-site and remote support services.
