OMAS – Italian grinding technology conquers Europe!

• The inventiveness of the Italian company Grandmas is highlighted on the occasion of the inauguration of the largest, modern and high-performance milling unit in Paris, with a production capacity of 900 tons/day, received by the Soufflet - Invivo group, world leader in the production and processing of cereals.

The satisfaction of quality work is combined with the excitement of meeting strict contractual parameters in terms of energy consumption, flour extraction and plant efficiency.

Also, the expectations regarding the purity of the flour were even exceeded to offer consumers a product of a clearly superior quality, for the protection of their health. Last but not least, the beneficiary appreciated the seriousness with which the equipment construction rules were respected and applied in terms of the safety and protection of operators during the technological process.

Mill Flexy in Corbeil, mounted inside a newly constructed concrete building, is equipped with the highest Omas technologies, including KERS – Kinematic Energy Recovery System and DD – Direct Drive.

OMAS: Italian grinding technology

Technology KERS, patented worldwide by OMAS, allows the reduction of energy costs by reducing the electrical energy requirement of the rollers by recovering the unused kinetic energy from the grinding cylinders. Energy efficiency has also been achieved through the plansifter, the cleaning machines with vibrating brushes, which are also equipped with permanent magnet motors and which guarantee a very low energy consumption of 2,5-3 A, compared to 8-10 A, which is the standard for belt-driven machines.

Top Italian technology

Direct coupling of permanent magnet motors to grinding cylinders provides maximum flexibility in adapting the speed of the cylinders to the grinding process, depending on the type of grain or the type of product to be obtained. This technology allows the grinding equipment to respond quickly and promptly to the demands and dynamism of the profile market and optimize its performance by increasing flour extraction by 0,5% compared to a fixed roller speed mill.

Besides energy efficiency and grinding flexibility, it can be said that the Corbeil mill is one of the most efficient and performing in Europe, thanks to the high level of technology and low maintenance, guaranteeing maximum safety for operators; the absence of roller drive belts provides an additional level of safety and reduces maintenance to zero.

OMAS paid special attention to every detail.

Examples include heat recovery to optimize air from the grinding process; all equipment in the mill has been designed without sharp edges (with rounded corners) and with closed and sealed profiles to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, using materials according to the standards in force to prevent degradation and contamination of food.

Omas equipment is offered to you in Romania by the company Nova Pan from Brasov.
