Sustainability, a central pillar in the Rossi Group's development strategy

• In an era where industrial innovation is increasingly intertwined with environmental responsibility, the Rossi Group continues to be a pioneer of the green transition.

Recognized leader in the field of industrial transmissions, a company part of the Moovimenta Group and with over 70 years of experience in international markets, Rossi concretely demonstrates this commitment through the development of its production center in Ganaceto, an emblematic project for how productive efficiency can go hand in hand with environmental protection.

IStrategic investment for Modena: logistical efficiency and ecological performance

The Ganaceto production center represents a major investment in the province of Modena and reflects the company's determination to adopt sustainable production practices at the highest level. Built on an area of 3.575 square meters, within a total area of 14.570 square meters, the site is distinguished by state-of-the-art technological solutions, perfectly aligned with current sustainability regulations. These include an integrated photovoltaic system on the roof, advanced building automation systems and energy-efficient LED lighting.

The main objective of this project is to significantly increase production capacity, optimize logistics flows and substantially reduce CO₂ emissions. Modern equipment has been installed in the new production center, and technologies have been specifically adapted to the production needs of the Modena area. This intelligent approach minimizes travel and material handling operations, thus generating significant savings in carbon emissions.

Green energy – strategic priority

Rossi Group pays particular attention to renewable energy sources. On the roof of the Ganaceto headquarters is a photovoltaic system with an installed power of 340 kWp, capable of generating approximately 410.500 kWh of clean energy annually. This system joined the one already located on the existing halls, and has a power of 900 kWp and an estimated production of 1.080.498 kWh per year.

At the same time, the Lecce facility, dedicated to iFIT technologies, also benefits from a 72 kWp photovoltaic system, with an estimated annual production of 102.139 kWh.

Circular economy and concrete sustainability initiatives

Beyond logistical efficiency and investments in renewable energy, the Rossi Group has implemented a series of integrated measures to reduce its environmental impact:

  • Cold pressing technology in production processes, which allowed the elimination of three ovens and an annual saving of 323.400 kWh, with another oven subsequently being eliminated;
  • Automatic chip centrifugation systems and oil recovery, which lead to a significant reduction in waste, a saving of over 60% on the purchase of new oil, a degree of reuse of recovered oil of over 50% and a reduction in disposal costs;
  • Selective collection, recycling and reuse of packaging in workshops, the measures resulting in a 74% reduction in unsorted household waste;
  • Continuous improvement of energy efficiency by gradually replacing traditional lighting with LED solutions and automation systems for heating and lighting control;
  • Social impact initiatives, including the installation of a relaxation area at the main headquarters, equipped with bottle and can compactors, a plastic cup shredder and water dispensers, designed to encourage selective collection. Also, a union agreement in force since the 70s provides for the reimbursement of employees' public transport passes, thus stimulating the use of public transport and reducing air pollution.

Sustainability in the Rossi Group's development strategy

Through these concrete actions, the Rossi Group not only consolidates its position as a technological leader, but also demonstrates that a modern business model can actively contribute to a more sustainable future, both for the industry and for the community.
