• The Nova Pan company, leader in the distribution of bakery, pastry, confectionery and chocolate equipment, reaffirms its commitment to the environment through a significant investment in renewable energy.
• With a total value of 1.762.451,88 lei, including VAT, the project consists in the installation of a system of photovoltaic panels on the roof of its headquarters in Brașov.
The ambitious project is part of a wider sustainability initiative by the company, aimed at both reducing environmental impact and optimizing long-term energy costs.
The photovoltaic system will have an installed capacity of 335 kWp, achieved by installing 620 solar panels. Once completed, the system will generate 395,16 MWh of green electricity annually, enough to cover a significant part of the company's energy needs.
The production of energy from renewable sources will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, with Nova Pan estimating an annual decrease of 24.409 tons of CO2. This reduction equates to the removal of a considerable amount of pollutants from the atmosphere, reflecting a strong commitment to protecting the environment.
The project is carried out through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Component 6 – Energy, and benefits from non-refundable funding of 616.275 lei (without VAT), granted by the Ministry of Energy. The financing contract was signed on December 30, 2023, and the implementation of the project is planned to be completed by December 31, 2024.

"The financing program accessed allowed us to purchase, in addition to the photovoltaic panels, two production lines: a line for the production of clipband and a wire drawing line, necessary for the production of the clipband, wire that until now we brought from outside. The two lines, powered by electricity from the photovoltaic panels installed through this financing program, are unique in Romania.
Financing programs represent opportunities that companies must take full advantage of in order to grow. This is not the only financing program that our company has accessed in recent years, and by the end of the year we want to implement two more financing programs.
We will increase the number of photovoltaic panels, we will practically double the energy we want to produce, and the second project is a digitization program, through which we want to automate certain processes within the company." declares Mr. Ciprian Brebeanu, CEO of Nova Pan Group.
