• INDAGRA– the most famous agricultural event in Romania and INDAGRA FOOD– the international fair for the food industry took place between October 26 – 30, 2022, at ROMEXPO.
Both events were organized by ROMEXPO together with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, under the High Patronage of the President of Romania.
In this edition, more than 412 companies from Romania and abroad, representative of the agricultural and food sector, participated.
On an area of 29.000 square meters, projects for the development of Romanian agriculture were presented and commercial relations were developed between top representatives of the food industry.

INDAGRA – INDAGRA FOOD 2022 registered a degree of internationalization of 29%, in the two events participating companies from countries such as: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, South Korea, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Holland, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, USA, Turkey, Hungary, Vietnam.
In the INDAGRA 2022 – The international fair for products and equipment in the field of agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and animal husbandry sustainable crop production was promoted and technologies that ensure low energy and fuel consumption were presented. In addition, the idea of smart farming was brought to the attention of the specialist public, which is based on methods of protecting the environment, conservation of resources, as well as the implementation of technologies in agricultural processes.
New trends in the field
Also, FAIR charted the trends of 2022 in the field of agriculture, viticulture, horticulture and animal husbandry. In the INDAGRA, the exhibitors launched revolutionary products, met new business partners, conducted business dialogue and presented their equipment and technology offer, as well as novelties or generous promotions.
In addition to the products and services of the exhibiting companies, visitors could admire animals and learn from specialists how to raise and care for them, using the most modern products, techniques and equipment.
Fair INDAGRA 2022 was organized in three thematic halls:
- Salon of Agriculture – with 4 thematic areas: Planting material, seeds, fertilizers; Animal husbandry/Viticulture; Agricultural machinery, machinery and equipment; Technologies and equipment for irrigation, greenhouses and solariums.
- Agricultural Machinery Show- where they were exposed: large agricultural machinery, large equipment, excavators, tools, tanks, combines, trailers, parts.
- Animal Show– where cattle, sheep, goats, horses and birds could be admired.

There was also a series of related events on topics of interest including:
- American Forum of Trade Dialogues for Water and Food Security in Romania, Moldova and Ukraine – organized by the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the US Embassy in Romania.
- Conference "What does the future of Romanian agriculture sound like? A Dutch-Romanian perspective" - organized by the Dutch Embassy.
- Conference "The main guidelines and challenges of the new programming period 2023 – 2027"– organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, through the National Rural Development Network.
- workshop"Innovative Israeli solutions in the agri-food sector"- organized by the Embassy of Israel.
- launching Agribusinessjob– a job platform dedicated to the agri-food sector.
INDAGRA FOOD 2022 The international fair for the food industry a brought together producers, distributors and importers of equipment and technologies for the meat industry, but also representatives of the bakery, vegetable and fruit industrialization, fish and milk processing.
The event presented both the evolution of the food sector and the challenges it faces in the current context. In the INDAGRA FOOD ecological solutions for industry with low impact on the environment, and which ensure a higher quality of food, as well as digital technologies that will accelerate the modernization of this sector, were presented.
