• From January 19-28, 2024, Berlin hosted the 88th edition of Green Week, a prestigious event that attracts the attention of those in the food industry around the world.
With more than 1400 exhibitors from Germany and various corners of the globe, and with a record number of almost 100.000 visitors in the first weekend, the exhibition Grüne Woche it provided not only a business platform but also an excellent opportunity to promote specific national gastronomic products and traditions.

Annual, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) participates in this exhibition with an information stand regarding the policies applied in the field of agriculture and rural development, where experts from MADR promote Romanian agri-food products recognized at national and European level. The promotion of premium Romanian products was also carried out with the support of the Romanian Employers' Association of the Milling, Bakery and Flour Products Industry (BROKEN).
During the event, the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promoted and offered samples of products registered on European quality schemes or in the process of being registered to visitors for tasting, respectively Topoloveni plum magiun – PGI, Sibiu salami – PGI, Telemea de Ibăneşti – PDO, Smoked Danube crumb – PGI, Pleșcoi sausage – PGI, Telemea de Sibiu – PGI, Săveni cheese – PGI, Pike roe salad Tulcea – PGI, Traditional salad with carp roe – STG, Dobrogean pie – PGI, Pecica pie – PGI, from the category of spirit drinks Geographical Indication – Pălincă and Țuica Zetea de Medieșul Aurit, as well as products registered on national quality schemes.


Premium quality Romanian products
Among the Romanian products present at the 2024 edition of the exhibition "Green Week" those that are in the process of being registered on a European quality system were also found, such as: Babic from Buzau for acquiring PGI, Deltaic sturgeon whip for acquiring PGI, Marinated sardine for acquiring STG, but also products that will follow the stages of registration on a European quality system: sausages from the ax from Vâlcea, smoked meat with garnish from Vâlcea, cheese in Bran fir bark, pie spread by Pecica-Turnu, Nădlac salami, kneaded cheese from Teaca, dried beef sausage, silver carp and catfish whip, silver carp and catfish pastrami, fish sausage and different assortments of syrups, jams or fruit jams, bakery and pastry products (cakes, croissants with jam, eugenia, expanded cereals, flour, etc.), chicken products, various assortments of honey, old products of the hive, assortments of cold pressed oils.
From the spirits category, Romania offered for tasting brandy and plum brandy as well as White wine and Red. Also, visitors to the Romanian stand could taste smoked apples and plums from Vrancea.

Company Seven Spices was one of the notable presences at this event, exhibiting its premium flours at the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, alongside other established Romanian products chatelaine. Obtained from carefully selected Romanian wheat, the range of flours chatelaine reconfirms the diversity and quality of Romanian products, thus contributing to the consolidation of Romania's reputation in the international gastronomic landscape.
