Start-Up Nation 2024 edition

• Through GEO 29/2024, the 4th edition of the Start-Up Nation 2024 program was approved.

Unlike the previous editions, the 4th edition of Start-Up Nation is financed by non-refundable external funds, related to the Education and Employment Program 2021-2027.

The Start-Up Nation 2024 program provides for funding of 446 million euros  and is mainly addressed to projects submitted by entrepreneurs under 30 years old from regions other than Bucharest and llfov.

Financial aid Start-Up Nation 2024

  • Non-refundable financing: maximum 250.000 lei;
  • Intensity of non-refundable support: maximum: 90%;
  • Own contribution: minimum: 10%.

Start-Up Nation 2024 budget

  • Pillar I (young people up to 30 years old) – 295.750.000 euros – approx. 5.250 companies financed.
  • Pillar ll (young people between 30 and 35 years old, people with disabilities, unemployed, people from the diaspora, disadvantaged people, people from rural areas) - 150.435.295 euros - approx. 2.500 companies financed. Bucharest - Ilfov areas are excluded.

Start-Up Nation 2024 edition

Start-Up Nation 2024 registrations

  • Between September and December 2024: natural persons enroll in the entrepreneurship course;
  • Between October and December 2024: individuals who have completed the course establish their company and submit the project.

The registration procedure at the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism was started on 16.09.2024 (MEAT) of companies SUPPLIER of entrepreneurial course programs.

The bakery and pastry industry (CAEN code 1071) is among the eligible activities financed through this program.

We will come back with the schedule of the program both for enrolling in the courses and for the appearance of the Applicant's Guide in the final version, as well as with the deadlines and the method of submitting the projects.
