The Romanian Patronage of the Milling, Bakery and Flour Products Industry (NOVEL) to launched the project "Improving the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of employees in the milling, baking and flour products industry”, co-financed from the European Structural and Investment Funds from Romania through the Human Capital Operational Program (POCU) 2014-2020. The implementation period is October 2019 – April 2021 (18 months). The general objective of the project is to contribute to the increase of professional competitiveness, by facilitating the access of personnel from the milling, bakery and flour products industry to continuous professional training services. The beneficiaries of the program are 537 people (employees in the industry) from the North-East, South-East, South Muntenia, South-West Oltenia and Center regions.

The specific objectives of the project:

1. Increasing the degree of interest and awareness of employees in the milling, bakery and flour products industry, from the regions targeted by the project, regarding the importance and necessity of participating in continuous training programs;
2. Increasing professional performance for 442 people who will participate in the qualification and training courses;
3. Evaluation / validation and recognition of previous experience and learning, including skills acquired in non-formal and / or informal learning contexts, for 95 people, for the Baker qualification;
4. Supporting 15 enterprises (SMEs) in the milling, baking and pastry industry to introduce workplace learning programmes.

Expected results:

• 537 people in the target group to participate in the program;
• 15 people qualified through the BAKER qualification course – COR 7412.1.1;
• 332 people qualified at the qualification course level 2 OPERATOR PROCESSING FLOUR PRODUCTS COR 816027;
• 95 people qualified through the BRUTAR COR 751201 training course;
• 95 people participating in the evaluation and certification process of the professional skills obtained by other than the formal ones for the BRUTAR qualification.
