• On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Hotel Caro in Bucharest will host the 7th edition of the Happy Gluten Free fair, the largest event in the country dedicated to people with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity.
Organized by Romanian Association for Gluten Intolerance (ARIG), member of AOECS (Association of European Celiac Societies), the fair has already become an essential landmark for the gluten-free community in Romania.
The event brings together producers, importers, specialists and families from across the country in a safe and friendly setting, offering direct access to certified gluten-free products, specialist information and practical experiences. This year's edition stands out for its largest regional participation to date, with exhibitors from eight counties: Sibiu, Maramureș, Târgu Mureș, Bacău, Satu Mare, Covasna, Prahova and Cluj, alongside those from Bucharest.
What you will find at Happy Gluten Free 2026
Visitors will be able to explore a wide variety of gluten-free products through sales and tastings, discover new products and launches from the gluten-free market and enjoy a diverse program, adapted to the whole family:
- Activities for children – recreational moments and creative workshops;
- Nutrition seminar supported by specialists;
- Release of a book;
- Launch of the ARIG mobile application;
- Direct meetings with specialized manufacturers and brands.

The fair is organized annually around the date of May 16, International Celiac Disease Awareness Day. For people diagnosed with celiac disease, a gluten-free diet is not a lifestyle option, but a strict medical necessity. The event emphasizes the importance of access to safe, correctly labeled and quality products, contributing to better information and the growth of the gluten-free market in Romania.
