• The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced the extension of the deadline for submitting applications for financing under the Aid Scheme for supporting investments in new electricity production capacities from renewable sources.
Thus, enterprises in the agricultural sector and the food industry can still submit applications until March 31, 2025, compared to the initial deadline, set for February 28, 2025.
This measure supports companies interested in investing in green energy, offering total funds of 150 million euros for eligible projects. Financing is provided through Modernization Fund, managed by the Ministry of Energy, and the administrator of the aid scheme is Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, through the Rural Investment Financing Agency.
Amount of funding and eligible energy types
The state aid granted through this scheme may cover up to 100% of eligible costsThe non-reimbursable funds available for renewable energy projects are structured as follows:
- Wind power: 700.000 euros/MW, regardless of installed capacity.
- Solar energy:
- 000 euros/MW for installed capacities greater than 1 MW.
- 000 euros/MW for installed capacities of maximum 1 MW, inclusive.
The application session has been open since December 24 2024, and this scheme will finance projects aimed at the creation of new electricity production capacities – either below 1 MW, or above 1 MW, with or without storage, from solar and wind sources.
This extension of the deadline gives companies in the industry more time to prepare the necessary documentation and access available funds, thus contributing to transition to sustainable energy and reducing environmental impact.
