• On April 05, 2022, in Bucharest, the 15 Bakery School students from the XNUMXth grade started their internship at Carrefour Romania. What they learn and what opportunities they have.
The partnership between the educational institution, established by Puratos Romania, part of the Belgian Puratos group, one of the most important global producers of innovative raw materials, and Carrefour Romania, part of the French Carrefour group, one of the largest retailers worldwide, has the gift to help students develop new skills and learn new knowledge.
Under the supervision and guidance of a Bakery School coordinator, students practice in the bakery and pastry districts. Some deal with the wrapping and packaging of the products, others with the sales side.
The best study opportunities
Theoretical concepts and laboratory practice have already helped the students when they prepared various pastries and confectionery, such as donuts or marshmallows. The combined internship lasts seven weeks, during which the young people will learn and gain experience.
In order to offer students the best study opportunities and to help them apply the knowledge learned at school, Puratos Romania encourages producers and distributors in the bakery, pastry, chocolate industry to join the company's initiative and offer internships to its students.

Bakery School is the first dual system school in Romania dedicated to the bakery, pastry, chocolate industry. Established from exclusively private resources by Puratos Romania, part of the Belgian Puratos group, the dual system school opened in Tărtășești, Dâmbovița county, has 24 students in the 15th grade and another XNUMX students in the XNUMXth grade.
The two classes are part of the extensive Bakery School project that Puratos Romania launched in 2020, through which it wants to start investments of almost half a million euros in the next three years, in the development of three schools in a dual system for this industry in the counties Cluj, Iași and Dâmbovița. The teachers who teach at the Bakery School are: Corina Elena Gheorghe – theory teacher Food Industry (Bakery), Ruxandra Proca – theory teacher Public Food (Confectionery), Ana Mușat – Master instructor (Tutor) practice Bakery, Cristina Stancu – Master instructor (Tutor) Confectionery practice.
