Dulcinella Romania – important investments

• Dulcinella Romania invests 3 million euros for the future of production and introduces new chocolate varieties with a Romanian flavor.

Dulcinella Romania, a chain of confectioneries with Bessarabian influences, is accelerating its development with a three million euro capital infusion in 2025, focusing on the modernization and expansion of production facilities. The centerpiece of the plan is a new factory in Târgu Neamț, with an area of 4.700 sq m, which will support business growth and the expansion of the network to 50 points of sale nationwide. The company is counting on a turnover of 10 million euros, up 30% compared to 2024, with this year's investments being 70% more consistent than the previous ones.

"For us it is important to combine tradition with innovation, to offer authentic products, to preserve the Bessarabian and Romanian essence that we adapt to modern requirements. Before introducing a new product, we always answer the following questions: is it representative of our culture? Does it preserve a traditional recipe or an authentic interpretation? Does it match the expectations of modern consumers? And depending on the answers, we think of new products", said Sergiu Diaconu, CEO of Dulcinella Grup Romania, in a press release.

The expansion initially targets the areas around Bucharest, at a distance of approximately 150 km, and the Moldova region, where the company benefits from a solid logistics network. In addition to the domestic market, Dulcinella also targets the Romanian diaspora communities, preparing deliveries to countries such as the United Kingdom, Spain and France.

New chocolate assortments: Carpathians and Danube

As part of the strategy, Dulcinella recently launched two new chocolate assortments – Carpathians and Danube – inspired by the Romanian cultural richness. These, made with premium ingredients such as Belgian chocolate and crunchy textures, are available in the 19 existing locations and on online platforms such as eMag or Tazz, and will be distributed in supermarkets as well. The launch complements other successful products and underlines the company’s commitment to celebrating traditional tastes.

"Carpathian Chocolate and Danube Chocolate are not just products, but messengers of the Romanian spirit. We wanted to create not just a dessert, but an experience that awakens the emotion of belonging, the pride of belonging to this land rich in tradition and beauty. These chocolates are about roots, about the tastes of childhood and about the stories that we want to carry forward. We want each piece to be not just a moment of indulgence, but a living memory of our identity, a taste that unites generations", added Sergiu Diaconu.

Dulcinella Romania, active since 2021 and part of the Cornelius H Group LTD portfolio in London since 2023, is known for desserts that combine the nostalgia of childhood tastes and quality. The products are made in the Dulcinella factory in Târgu Neamț and are sold in the network present in Bucharest, Brașov, Iași, Suceava, Târgu Neamț, Piatra Neamț, Roman and Fălticeni.
