ROMPAN – analysis of stocks of cereal raw materials

• Following the current discussions regarding the supply problems with cereal raw materials, CEREALCOM sends an offer for the domestic market through ROMPAN.

Recently, the discussions regarding the provision of the necessary raw materials for the bakery industry led to a thorough analysis of the existing stocks, in order to identify the necessary measures to avoid a crisis on the profile market.
ROMPAN, following the analysis of wheat stocks sent by the main processors, finds that they are at a minimum level. Thus it was decided to send a request to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to extend this analysis to all the responsible factors on the cereal chain. Analysis of raw material stocks

According to the statement sent by BREAKING on 17.03.2022, the analysis of the stock situation was carried out in two weeks, each week having a meeting with agricultural producers, processors, warehouses, grain traders and the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Several measures have been identified that will be taken in the next period, so that there is no syncope in the supply of wheat mills.

Analysis of stocks of cereal raw materials

The General Director of CEREALCOM DOLJ, Mister. Anghel Mihai, who made an offer to sell bread wheat, corn and sunflower seeds for the processing units.
This offer comes with the purpose of facilitating the access of Romanian processors to the raw materials necessary for carrying out the activity and, thereby, contributes to reducing the tensions generated by the discussions regarding the shortage of agricultural raw materials in the country.
Thus CEREALCOM DOLJ has for immediate commercialization on the domestic market in Romania:
• approx. 100.000 tons of Romanian baking wheat, quality according to grade RO 1.
• approx. 50.000 tons of Romanian corn.
• approx. 10.00 tons of Romanian sunflower seeds.
Cereals are delivered from CEREALCOM warehouses, and the price is set starting from the international reference price on the contract date, calculated under FOB Constanța delivery conditions, from which:
• approx. 20 EURO/tonne – representing transport and port operation expenses.
• 10 EURO/ton – representing the solidarity bonus granted by CEREALCOM to the beneficiary processor of the goods, provided that this bonus is passed on to the final beneficiary.

Approaches for the food industry

As a result of the combined efforts of ROMPAN and ROMALIMENTA, the food industry with small, medium and large enterprises continues to benefit from capped prices for electricity and natural gas.
