Sibiu Gastronomic Week 2026

• Sibiu is preparing to become, for a week, the capital of local tastes.

Between March 23 and 29, 2026, the Sibiu HoReCa Employers' Organization is organizing the first edition of the Sibiu Gastronomic Week, an event aimed at highlighting the city's culinary diversity and encouraging both locals and visitors to discover or rediscover the restaurants in the community.

The concept is simple and attractive: each of the 25 participating restaurants will propose a special menu consisting of two representative dishes, served at a fixed price of 50 lei. The offer will be available exclusively at the location, throughout the event, thus providing an affordable opportunity to explore authentic flavors and varied culinary creations.

Among the participants are establishments with a diverse tradition and profile, from restaurants with Romanian and Transylvanian specialties to international proposals reinterpreted locally: Butoiul de Aur, Crama Sibiul Vechi, Casa Frieda, Rabbit Hole, Soul Indian Cuisine, Sia Fusion, Old Lisbon, Kombinat or Suporter Sports Pub & Grill, alongside other acclaimed names such as Cucina di Paolo, Restaurant Zestrea, Kulpa or Turtha.

Remus Mocanu, executive director of HoReCa Employers' Organization Sibiu, emphasizes for the press that the initiative comes as an open invitation to discovery: an opportunity to try new places, savor emblematic dishes and appreciate the wealth of tastes that the city offers, all in a friendly and accessible format.

Through this campaign, the organizers aim to support the local HoReCa sector, boost consumption during the period and strengthen the image of Sibiu as a reference gastronomic destination. The event also creates a unified promotional framework for member restaurants and transforms every meal taken in the city into a small culinary adventure.
