• Bucharest, December 16, 2025 - Puratos Romania celebrates 30 years of activity on the local market and ends the year with an estimated turnover of approximately 55 million euros, up 12% compared to the previous year.
The result confirms the company's resilience in a difficult economic context and reinforces its strategy to invest in expanding production capacities and diversifying its portfolio. For 2026, Puratos estimates a similar turnover evolution, as a year of strategic consolidation.
In the medium term, Puratos aims to reach up to 2030 the threshold of 100 million euros in turnoverThe company's strategy aims to consolidate its leading position in the bakery and pastry industrial segment, but also to accelerate development in the category of ready-to-use fillings and creams, produced in Romania and exported to the region.

Three decades of transformation for the local food industry
Puratos started its activity in Romania at the end of 1995 – beginning of 1996, during a period of accelerated transformations in the food industry. From a team with a portfolio focused on bakery solutions, the company has today grown to an organization of over 157 employees in production, sales, R&D, logistics and support, a modern factory in Tunari with four production lines, two innovation centers in Bucharest and Cluj, two Bakery School Romania trade schools and a network of over 2.000 active customers, from independent artisans to large industrial manufacturers and international chains.
The evolution of the portfolio reflects the transformations of the industry: if in 1996 Puratos was present mainly through bakery mixes, improvers and technical solutions for flour, today the company fully covers the bakery, pastry and chocolate segments, offering fruit fillings, ready-to-use creams, Belcolade Belgian chocolate, naturally fermented products, plant-based solutions and advanced enzyme-based technologies for reducing gluten or sugar in finished products.
Puratos has not only been a supplier of ingredients, but a transformation engine for the local industry, contributing decisively to the professionalization and modernization of the Romanian bakery and pastry industry. During these 30 years, Puratos has directed over 25 million euros in Romania towards infrastructure, equipment, educational projects and innovation programs. A constant strategic pillar is professional training, through Bakery School Romania, as well as cultural and community projects, such as the anthropological study on the symbolism of bread among Romanians. In the social and educational area, Puratos supports initiatives that promote inclusion and skills development in the food industry and develops partnerships with Romanian fruit farmers to strengthen local supply chains.
All new processes and investments are aligned with global sustainability goals: energy efficiency, waste reduction, minimization of water consumption and packaging optimization. Puratos is investing in green energy, reducing CO₂ emissions and expanding its plant-based product portfolio, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
