Cereal prices on the Paris Stock Exchange for 19.04.2022

• Cereal prices on the Paris Stock Exchange continued to increase for the transactions of 19.04.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX.

At the close of trading on 19.04.2022, the quotations Euronext  for grain continued to grow.
Given that grain exports on the Black Sea are at a standstill, grain prices will continue their upward trend. If before the war Ukraine exported about 5 million tons of grain per month, in March 2022 Ukrainian grain export registered a figure of only 200.000 tons. Grain stocks in Ukraine amount to 20 million tons, but they are not available on the international market.

Global exports

The previous week the price of wheat reached the threshold of 400 euros, and this week it continues to rise. The same is happening with the prices of corn, barley and canola. As the Russian-Ukrainian war continues, the International Monetary Fund foresees a "very dangerous situation" at the global level.
The European Commission report announces that wheat exports, up to April 17, 2022, reached 21,26 million tons compared to 22,08 million tons in 2021.
For barley exports, if in 2021 the figures showed 6,56 million tons, this year 6,35 million tons are recorded.
For corn, the situation is almost similar to that of the previous year, thus the figures are 12,77 million tons, compared to 12,61 million tons in 2021.
For rapeseed, exports of 2022 million tons are recorded in 4,20, compared to 5,45 million tons in 2021.
