Attend webinars on bakery worker health

The European Federation of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Bakery, Confectionery and Pastry Ingredients (FEDIMA) and the Association of Enzyme Products Manufacturers (AMFEP) are organizing in October and November four webinars dedicated to the bakery industry and the bakery ingredients industry. The aim of these webinars is to provide information, best practices and useful tools for the safe handling of enzymes in the bakery sector.

The guides presented in the webinars will focus on two important topics:

  • control of dust exposure in all sectors of the bakery industry: milling, production of bakery ingredients, artisanal and industrial bakery;
  • ensuring the health of workers in the bakery industry.

The webinars are dedicated to a broad audience in both management and execution positions: bakery managers, program managers and teachers in bakery education centers, bakers' union representatives, R&D employees in the bakery sector, representatives of occupational health and safety organizations, artisan / artisan bakers, factory operational staff.

The schedule of webinars is as follows:
  1. webinar 1 – Introduction to the safe handling of enzymes in the bakery supply chain (includes regulatory aspects) – 15 October 2019, 14:00 CET
  2. webinar 2 – Exposure control during enzyme handling in the bakery sector – Artisanal and industrial bakeries, baking schools and demonstration bakeries – 29 October 2019, 14:00 CET
  3. webinar 3 – Exposure control during enzyme handling in the bakery sector – Milling and ingredient manufacturers – November 19, 2019, 14:00 CET
  4. webinar 4 – Health surveillance and air monitoring – November 26, 2019, 14:00 CET

Association of Enzyme Products Manufacturers (AMFEP) is a non-profit body, existing at European level, which cooperates with other European or worldwide partner institutions and associations. Established in 1977, AMFEP has observer status within the framework Codex Alimentarius and is a member of the stakeholder advisory platform of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

European Federation of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Baking, Confectionery and Pastry Ingredients (FEDIMA) is made up of national associations from 12 countries, whose mission is to shape a favorable business environment for its members and create an innovative and sustainable bakery industry. FEDIMA provides expertise to the EU institutions on bakery ingredients and works to develop best practices in the industry.
