"The Leonardo waltz, recognized worldwide, is an Omas Industries innovation that boasts many patents: we are the only ones to offer this technology. Leonardo offers maximum flexibility to the grinding process, thus changing the grinding mode in just a few seconds (from DD shape – Dull to Dull to SS shape – Sharp to Sharp). This allows obtaining different products from the same grain or processing different grains without compromising the grinding performance and the quality of the finished product.
All this is possible thanks to the elimination of transmission wheels and belts and the use of inverter motors (permanent magnet motors) on each cylinder of the roller," adds Luigi Nalon, CEO of Omas Industries.
Energy saving
Another important aspect to take into account, especially in this period with high energy bills, is that Leonardo, thanks to the patented system OKS – Omas Kers, allows an energy saving of about 15 Kwh/ton, by recovering the kinetic energy generated by the rollers.
In addition, the elimination of belts brings many other advantages: maintenance is reduced by 90%, machine technical downtime becomes almost zero, and workplace safety is guaranteed by the absence of moving transmission parts that posed major risks to operators .
Another benefit is the elimination of an entire floor: mounting the motors directly on the axis of the grinding cylinder, thus obtaining more compact constructions, the useful surface needed to install an Omas mill, as well as the related costs, being substantially reduced.
Flexy Mill – Omas Industries
For the coming months, Omas Industries wants to be able to offer its customers not just equipment, but a true grinding system 4.0, called Flexy Mill, able to provide maximum flexibility to the entire factory, not only in terms of recipes, but also by reducing production times, by minimizing errors, while improving the yield and quality of the finished product. This is why Omas continuously invests in automation and predictability.

All these aspects and more will be presented by Grandmas at IPACK IMA Milano 2022. Such as the new logo and brand identity, recently revealed on social media and the company's website.
As mentioned above, in 2015 Omas Industries, through the Leonardo Roller Mill, radically innovates the milling sector, static for almost two centuries. This true "milling revolution", besides being the reward of the work done over the years of research, becomes the determination of Omas Industries to promote the revolutionary rollers Leonardo all around the world.
"Reinventing the mill"
Today, Omas Industries presents to its customers and potential customers a new look and a new promise to continue to change and improve technologically to provide the best solutions to support the representatives of the milling industry facing an increasingly the most complex.
"Reinventing the mill", their new tagline explains the stated aim: to think beyond what has been done so far, to design a new milling factory idea.
The new logo
Dynamism. Ambition. Determination. Flexibility. These are the core values of Omas Industries, values that gave life to the new logo.
A logo characterized by the letter O, a circle, a complete and harmonious element, representing the design cycle, from the engineering phase to the installation and commissioning of the mill.
The new logo is in harmony with the icons that show the different stages encountered in milling, namely grinding, cleaning, storage, unloading and accessories.
