The new TETRA PAK packaging: practical for consumers, flexible for manufacturers

• Tetra Pak, world leader in food processing and packaging, has introduced a wide range of functional packaging, Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge, thus expanding its portfolio of packaging adapted for "on-the-go" consumption.

Tetra Pak thus responds to the increasingly accentuated trend of consumption on the go, as more and more people are looking for products that can be consumed anywhere, not just at home.

Ideal for active consumers

Consumers are increasingly opting for products that can be consumed on the go – on the way to work, at the gym or during a walk. This trend is driven by the accelerated pace of life, increasing concern for health and the need for practical but healthy snacks that can be consumed at any time. Products for this segment must not only be functional, but also easy to use and transport, so that they fit easily in a bag, backpack or car cup holder. Also, visual appeal is very important to active consumers.

The increasing popularity of drinks on-the-go it is also influenced by innovations in the packaging industry. Companies like Tetra Pak launch solutions that simplify consumption on the go and attract consumers with modern design and sustainable materials used.

"The new Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge packaging meets these requirements perfectly - it is easy to use, convenient and practical. Thanks to its ergonomic design, it fits perfectly in the consumer's hand, it is easy to store and transport", says Joanna Hecht, Tetra Pak's Packaging Portfolio Manager for Eastern Europe.

Better packaging, more advantages for producers

The new range of Tetra Prisma® Aseptic packaging not only meets consumer requirements, but also offers an efficient logistics solution. Due to the elongated shape, the packaging has been optimized to take up less space during transport and storage. Compared to TPA 300 Square packaging, it uses 14% more space on Europallets, generating savings in storage and transport and contributing to more sustainable logistics.

Food and beverage manufacturers who choose this packaging benefit from additional flexibility on the Tetra Pak® A3/CompactFlex packaging machine. This innovative solution allows quick adjustments in the production process for three different capacities: 200 ml, 250 ml and 300 ml. Producers can also choose the attached DreamCap™ 26 Pro cap and a paper straw (for 200ml and 250ml capacities), thus offering five functional solutions on the same packaging line.

Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge

"The new 300ml Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge pack, along with the other two volume formats, can be filled on Tetra Pak® A3/CompactFlex. In addition, we offer the option of upgrading the existing line", explains Joanna Hecht. At the same time, she says, the ability to quickly change packaging dimensions allows manufacturers to adapt very efficiently to market developments or to the demands of retail chains and distributors, and even expand their portfolio to include products for different consumer categories. Depending on the needs, the packaging format can be changed in just a few tens of minutes, without requiring production interruptions or major changes to the production line that involve high costs and time consumption. "This flexibility is a major advantage in a time of rapidly changing market demands", she adds.

A step towards sustainable production

Today, packaging is not limited to practicality. Consumer trends and regulatory requirements bring the importance of sustainability to the fore. To meet market expectations, beverage manufacturers adopt modern solutions. Tetra Pak packaging is mainly made from raw materials from responsibly managed forests. It also offers solutions that further reduce the impact on the environment, such as bioplastic elements made from sugar cane or certified recycled polymers. At the same time, the implementation of these sustainable solutions contributes to reducing the carbon footprint and building a positive brand image , aligned with the demands of consumers, who are increasingly concerned about environmental issues.

The future of packaging: solutions for an active lifestyle

The new Tetra Pak packaging is a step towards a future where the fast pace of life requires practical and sustainable solutions. With Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge, consumers have a practical way to consume their favorite products wherever they are, while manufacturers have the flexibility to choose packaging formats that meet the demands of the modern market.
