• World Pasta Day 2026, now in its 28th edition, will be held for the first time in Parma, as part of Cibus Tec.
World Pasta Day, known internationally as World Pasta Day, is celebrated every year on October 25. In 2026, the event reaches its 28th edition and, for the first time in its history, moves to Parma, in an expanded format, organized by Unione Italiana Food together with the International Pasta Organisation (IPO).
The initiative was officially announced by Italian pasta producers at Tuttofood, highlighting the close collaboration with Fiere di Parma and, in particular, with Cibus Tec. The main goal remains to promote pasta as a symbol of Italian cuisine, the Mediterranean diet, conviviality and values. Made in Italy, but the 2026 edition goes one step further, taking place on October 27 and 28, right inside Cibus Tec.
Cibus Tec, one of the most important international platforms dedicated to technologies for the food and beverage industry, takes place between 27 and 30 October 2026 at Fiere di Parma. The event, organized by Koeln Parma Exhibitions, brings together solutions for processing, packaging, automation, robotics, traceability, food safety, energy efficiency and sustainability. The 2026 edition is expected to grow significantly compared to previous ones, with a consolidated international presence and spaces dedicated to special areas, including those for bakery and beverages.
Integration World Pasta Day in the Cibus Tec program is not accidental. The event dedicated to pasta brings together Italian and international producers, associations, institutions and technological partners, creating a direct dialogue between the entire pasta sector and innovation. The topics addressed target the evolution of consumer preferences, new nutritional requirements, sustainability, waste reduction, production efficiency and packaging innovations – themes that are naturally linked to the technologies exhibited at Cibus Tec.
Thus, Parma becomes, for a few days, the global capital of pasta and technologies for the food industry. World Pasta Day maintains its character of universal celebration of an accessible, versatile food, symbol of Mediterranean culture, but, through the connection with Cibus Tec, it acquires a stronger industrial and technological dimension. It is an opportunity to show how tradition and innovation can coexist in the pasta sector, consolidating Italy's position as a world leader in production and export.
