Liviu Preda, named Best Chef in the Mediterranean Cuisine category at the Chefi de Romania Awards Gala 2026

• Chef Liviu Preda, one of the reference figures of contemporary Romanian gastronomy, was awarded the title of Best Mediterranean Cuisine Chef (1st Place) at the Chefi de Romania Awards Gala 2026, 4th edition.

The event, organized by Daniela Sima and dedicated exclusively to excellence in the country's cuisines, recently named its winners, once again confirming the top position of the Brașov chef.

With an impressive career, marked by passion, innovation and deep respect for local ingredients, Liviu Preda is recognized as a master of taste who has decisively contributed to the transformation of Brașov into a prestigious culinary destination. His creativity – not related to a specific ingredient, but to the way in which he can surprise and excite through unexpected combinations – remains the main driver of his professional evolution. As a lecturer at the American Hotel Academy and coach in major competitions (including the national selection for Bocuse d'Or Europe 2026), he constantly combines tradition with innovation, emphasizing quality products and memorable dining experiences.

The award obtained in the Mediterranean Cuisine category reflects the excellence offered daily at restaurant Limon in Brașov, where Liviu Preda puts his personal touch on a menu inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean coast, reinterpreted with refinement and local freshness. Limon is not just a dining space, but a place where the passion for cooking turns into moments of authentic joy, supported by the contribution of his wife, pastry chef Simona Preda (also recently distinguished as Best Pastry Chef Hotel/Restaurant in the same gala).
