About Bakery School
Bakery School Romania is the only dual system school in Romania dedicated to the confectionery, pastry and bakery industry. In September 2022, Bakery School opened a second school in Cluj-Napoca, in partnership with Technological High School No. 1, Cluj-Napoca. 61 students study at the Bakery School, of which 50 are from Marin Grigore Năstase Technological High School in Tărtășești commune, Dâmbovița county, and 11 from Technological High School No. 1 in Cluj-Napoca.
"We established this school in 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, to help the industry with skilled labor, but also to give a chance to children from disadvantaged communities to have a job, a future. Most of our students come from vulnerable backgrounds, from single-parent families and with very limited possibilities. The way they have evolved in their 3 years of high school is impressive and we are proud of them. Their results in this competition are a tangible proof of their evolution and a guarantee that they will have a bright future in the specialization they have chosen." said Gabriela Bereș, country manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Puratos.
