• The "Good taste hour" contest - the "Gustul Ales 2022" awards, the competition of the best Romanian products, reached its 7th edition.
The deadline for enrollment in the framework Competitions The "good taste hour" is November 21, 2022, midnight, and the products will reach the judges by November 24.00, 27 at the latest.
Both those who have a new product and those who want to evaluate or confirm the quality of an already existing product are expected at the "2022 Good Taste Hour". The products can be obtained artisanally or industrially and will be judged according to: taste, smell, characteristics specific to each group, appearance, list of ingredients, nutritional analysis, sensory analysis, marketing presentation and consumer presentation.
Manufacturers entered in the competition will fill in a description sheet for each product in which, without disclosing the recipe, they will try to provide as much information as possible about the product.
The judging will be done by specialists, according to the judging sheet sent to all registered companies, but also following the tasting of each product, which will take place at the jury's office.
Evaluation criterias
The evaluation will be done by noting the criteria contained in the product description sheet and the sensory analysis of each product entered into the contest. The criteria are as follows:
– Product description – list of ingredients, technological process, general characteristics.
- Presentation of the product for the consumer - differentiation, innovation, originality, sustainability.
– Nutritional value.
– Sensory analysis – appearance, taste, smell, texture, harmony/balance.
The "Chosen Taste 2022" award will be given to the product that meets the highest score for all criteria. There will also be a "Chosen Taste 2022" award for each subcategory, as well as special prizes awarded by the jury regardless of the category in which the product was entered.
For each product category, there must be at least 3 products entered in the competition, and if this condition is not met, the products will automatically be entered in the competition for the grand trophy or special prizes. The awarding of the "Gustul Ales 2022" awards will take place at the Hotel Courtyard Floreasca Bucharest on December 7, 2022.
