The Price Monitor application will be completed by mid-March, after which the companies will upload the data, informs the Competition Council. The application is made by the Maguay company, a contract worth 1,422 million lei.
The new online platform will contain both the extended form of the Food Price Monitor, a tool launched by the competition authority at the end of 2016, as well as a price comparator for car fuels. The institution appreciates that the development of this price monitoring system will lead to the transparency of the market for consumers, allowing them to be informed about the prices charged by the main retail distributors of food products, respectively by the main car fuel distribution networks, so that the customer can choose the products with the best price-quality ratio.
