Sfântu Gheorghe, May 11, 2024 – Diószegi Bakery, a name synonymous with quality, tradition and innovation in the production of bread, pastry and confectionery products, inaugurates a new and modern work space.

In a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, the inauguration ceremony held in the premises of the new bakery was attended, together with the company's management, by high-ranking local and Hungarian officials, collaborators, business partners and representatives of places of worship, celebrating this new stage together in the evolution of Diószegi Bakery.

With a rich history spanning several decades and culminating the craft of three generations of bakers, the Diószegi Bakery honors traditional values while addressing contemporary challenges through development and innovation. The expansion of the production capacity by building the new and modern bakery took almost 3 years and amounted to an investment of around 8,5 million euros.

The new bakery, three times larger than the previous one, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that will help increase production capacity while ensuring the high quality standard of the products. In parallel, the former headquarters will now house an expanded confectionery laboratory, ten times larger than the previous one.

Combining tradition with innovation

In the speech offered on this occasion, Mr. László Diószegi emphasized the importance of progress while maintaining the connection with traditions.

"It is difficult to talk about big things, about the past and about the future, in moments when we feel that beautiful but bold dreams, which once seemed very far away, are coming true.

It is difficult to appear brave at the beginning of a new road, a road that until then you have only dreamed of. Today ends the first chapter of a long task based on values such as: gratitude, contentment, preservation of our ancient traditions and begins a new chapter in our evolution.

I am asked quite frequently: What do I love more: football or the bakery? My answer was always that my dream was to build a bakery with a football field in the middle. Well, the plans did not materialize in this form. But I think we are all happy that the Sepsi OSK matches would no longer fit in a bakery yard.

Today is a big day for everyone, a big day for our community. It's a big day for our bakery, for the people who work here and support us. That's why I thank you all for your years of dedicated work without which we would not be here today."
