• With only around 60 days left until the opening, Interpack 2026 is preparing to bring together the entire global packaging and processing industry from May 7 to 13, 2026, at Messe Düsseldorf.
It is considered the most important international event in the field this year, annually attracting thousands of exhibitors and tens of thousands of professional visitors from all corners of the world.
The fair occupies practically all the halls of the Düsseldorf exhibition center and is open to the public daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Over the seven days, visitors will have access to an extremely wide range of products: from ultra-modern packaging machines and equipment, innovative materials, processing solutions for the food, beverage, confectionery and bakery industries, to packaging and technologies dedicated to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and non-food goods.
Main directions of interest in 2026
This year's edition places a strong emphasis on two mega-trends that define the future of the industry:
- Smart manufacturing – smart manufacturing, advanced automation, IoT integration and Industry 4.0 solutions for more efficient and flexible packaging lines.
- Innovative Materials – new, sustainable, recyclable or bio-based materials that reduce the carbon footprint and simultaneously meet the requirements of functionality, design and food safety.
In addition to the exhibitor stands, a strong point remains the conference and forum program. SPOTLIGHTS – the central forum of the fair – will dedicate a day to each of the hottest current topics, with top speakers and practical case studies.
Also, special areas such as Interpack Start-up Zone (for young companies with disruptive solutions), Women in Packaging (diversity initiative) and various partnerships with international associations increase the value of the networking segment.
In essence, Interpack remains the global reference platform where the future of packaging and processing is shaped – a place where today’s innovations become tomorrow’s standards and business connections shape the industry’s directions for years to come. An event that not only reflects current transformations, but also accelerates them.
