Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace: Benefits and Challenges

• A recent survey conducted by the BestJobs platform highlights the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence within companies.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has quickly become established in the professional environment, becoming not only a technological topic, but also a priority for employers, having a significant impact on the daily work of employees.

According to a survey conducted in January 2025 by the recruitment platform BestJobs, based on a sample of 784 internet users, more than 60% of employees are already using AI in various workplace activities, and another 13% plan to adopt this technology in the near future. Only 25% of respondents believe that AI is not relevant to their role.

Artificial intelligence

Regarding trust in AI, the majority of employees (55%) trust the decisions generated by this technology, while a quarter of them mention that AI can sometimes produce erroneous results. However, 21% are skeptical of its recommendations.

The top reasons employees are using AI include saving time (53%), increasing productivity (32%), and reducing errors (29%). Additionally, 19% of respondents believe that using AI has improved collaboration between teams. However, there are challenges: 19% of respondents report an increase in errors caused by AI technology, and 11% believe that employers are supporting this technology only for trend reasons.

Artificial intelligence

Use for various activities

In terms of practical use of AI, it is widely applied for content generation such as texts, images and reports (47%), automating email responses (34%) or translating documents (32%). Other uses include data analysis (24%), automating repetitive tasks (21%) and solving complex problems (18%). The most popular AI tools include content generation platforms (62%), chatbots (39%) and predictive analytics software (19%).

Experts say that AI is becoming a key partner for both employees and employers, optimizing processes and increasing productivity. However, while the benefits of AI are obvious, the transition has not been uniform for all employees. The study shows that while 66% of them found the integration of the technology relatively easy, 24% are still adapting to the new tools. A significant obstacle in this process is the lack of adequate support from employers: only 18% of employees benefited from training programs, and 49% had to learn on their own.

Artificial intelligence

AI is thus becoming an essential skill for professional success, with employers increasingly looking for candidates familiar with this technology. Employees perceive AI as a factor that contributes to increasing efficiency (50%), a necessary skill in the future (32%), and a tool that supports learning new concepts (42%). Also, 29% of employees believe that AI stimulates creativity and helps to achieve superior results in professional activity.
