Franke launches the New A Line: A new standard in automatic coffee machines

• October 17, 2025 – At the Host Milano 2025 fair, Franke Coffee Systems launched the New A Line, the next generation of fully automatic coffee machines, designed and manufactured in Switzerland.

The range debuts with two models – the new A600 and A800 – which share a common platform and the same innovations, offering superior cup quality, easy customization, low operational costs and minimal environmental impact. This launch comes in response to the current challenges of coffee business owners, who are faced with converging pressures: the demand for premium quality in every location, the evolution of coffee culture with expanded menus and personalized options, as well as operational constraints related to staffing, costs and stricter environmental regulations.

The new Line A integrates advanced machines with FrankeOS software connected to cloud, creating an end-to-end solution that addresses these challenges without compromise. For ten years, the classic A-Line has been a symbol of reliability, appreciated by operators around the world. Building on this legacy, New Line A combines modularity and ease of service with fresh innovations, offering a scalable and efficient platform capable of handling peak demands while maintaining high quality and speed, simplifying daily routines for businesses of any size.

Premium quality in every cup

Making consistently high-quality drinks depends on precise extraction, exact temperature and barista-level milk froth. The iQFlow™ system, now standard on both models, is an innovative solution that dynamically controls the flow and timing-of the extraction process. This ensures the full delivery of the flavor profile, providing identical results on all machines.

The new FoamMaster improves quality by creating a rich, undiluted foam – cold or hot – with even finer textures at higher temperatures, minimizing milk waste and working efficiently with both dairy and plant-based alternatives. In addition, PrecisionTemp allows for beverage-specific temperature control so that every coffee or tea is brewed at the ideal point for maximizing flavor, consistency and versatility.

An improved offer, also adapted for self-service

Menu selection must be easy to deliver quickly. FrankeOS – the digital operating system of the New A Line – supports both self-service and serviced areas: Customer Mode for guests and Operator Mode for staff. Each machine can be connected ex-factory to cloud via FrankeConnect, allowing remote configuration, updates over-the-air and centralized management of menus, recipes and prices across multiple locations. To expand options, the platform supports up to three grinders and two powder containers, offering a wide variety of beverages, plus an optional Flavor Station with up to six syrups, meeting the growing demand for hot and cold flavored beverages. IndividualMilk maintains two separate milk lines from container to cup, allowing for instant switching between dairy and non-dairy without cross-contamination, protecting both taste and dietary needs.

Easy to learn and operate by staff

Daily operations should be intuitive from day one. Based on FrankeOS, the New A-Line’s Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides step-by-step guidance so that new staff can become productive quickly. Combined with the New FoamMaster, iQFlow™ and IndividualMilk, consistent results are achieved with minimal effort. IndividualClean is a usage-based cleaning system that monitors beverage production and machine settings to indicate the right load at the right time.

By replacing rigid daily routines with targeted hygiene cycles, it saves staff time and cleaning product consumption, while maintaining in-cup quality and food safety. Dynamic Nozzle Light (DLi) signals status at a glance – standby, ready, dispensing, cleaning, warnings and notifications – supporting a clear guided experience.

Cost efficiency with low energy consumption

Savings don't have to compromise taste or safety. HeatGuard – Franke's new boiler technology with advanced insulation and intelligent thermal management – reduces heat loss in standby mode, lowering energy consumption by up to 44% (compared to the classic A600 NM model, according to DIN 18837-2), keeping the machine ready to serve and extending the service life of components. IndividualClean avoids unnecessary deep cleaning cycles, reducing downtime, water and cleaning product consumption, and staff time.

The new FoamMaster and IndividualMilk support precise dosing and separate milk paths reduce waste. FrankeConnect, with advanced connectivity, enables remote diagnostics, real-time monitoring and software updates over-the-air, minimizing on-site technical interventions and contributing to more sustainable operations.

Swiss technology adapted to visual criteria

The new A-Line is designed to elevate the worktop and guide every interaction. Swiss-made quality is combined with a unified design language and premium materials, including extensive steel elements, matte and satin finishes, and an elegant shade of black with profiles in Onyx, Granite and Mahogany. The modular additions are visually harmonized for a unified look. A clear, high-resolution GUI enhances the experience for staff and customers, while Dynamic Nozzle Lighting provides clear status cues and a distinctive visual signature at the serving station.

“Premium expectations are rising even as staffing and cost pressures intensify”, says Marco Zancolò, CEO of Franke Coffee Systems. “With the New A-Line, operators achieve consistently high quality in every cup, true flexibility for dairy and non-dairy menus, and simpler daily operation. All of this is supported by Swiss technology. The New A-Line is built for today’s realities and ready to evolve with future customer needs.”
