With the drop in the price of wheat, international trade is gaining momentum. On Monday 31.07.2023/600.000/800.000, Algeria bought between 276 and XNUMX tonnes of wheat for October at an initial price of around $XNUMX/t CIF, most of which is likely to come from the Black Sea.
Tunisia has launched an invitation to tender for the purchase of approximately 120.000 t of wheat. After launching a first auction on August 1 last week, Bangladesh is back with a second auction on August 13.
In the north France, harvesting could only progress very slightly over the weekend and canola was harvested between rains. Another rainy week begins in northern Europe, which could further delay the 2023 harvest.
The situation on the wheat market remains delicate due to attacks from the port of Kherson, as well as over Moscow this weekend.
As in Europe, US wheat prices are easing in the absence of new tensions in the Black Sea in recent days. But it was mainly improving weather conditions in the United States with the arrival of a cooler and wetter period that reassured traders yesterday and influenced corn and soybean prices as the corn flowering period approached end, and that of the soy was about to begin.
