• Brașov, September 5, 2025 – On September 20, 2025, the city of Brașov will also host this year's edition of Bimbo Global Race Romania, a large-scale sporting event that combines the passion for movement with solidarity towards the less fortunate.
Organized under the aegis of Grupo Bimbo, the largest bakery company in the world, the marathon aims to bring the community together in a race for charity, transforming each entry into a donation of 20 slices of bread for people in need. The organizers' ambitious goal is to donate 150.000 slices of bread, thus contributing to reducing hunger in vulnerable communities.
Bimbo Global Race is more than a sports competition – it is a celebration of solidarity and the joy of doing good together. The event is designed to be inclusive, addressing both adults and children, families and friends, regardless of physical fitness level. Participants can choose between 0,7 km, 1,4 km or 5 km races, with each step run being a gesture of support for a noble cause.
Alongside the vulnerable
"It's not the distance you travel that matters, but the desire to line up at the start with others and contribute to a better world. It's a day about joy, movement and generosity," the organizers declare on the official website of the event.
