With iFIT, Rossi strengthens its position in the light duty market (Light Duty Market *)

• Seventy years of experience in the production and sale of gearmotors are the key to Rossi's success, which strengthens its presence in the light applications market, completing the iFIT range with the version of helical gearmotors with parallel axes, characterized by a torque from 224 N to 4800 N, a torque 12% higher than the market average and a power of up to 30 kW. It is this offer that now allows Rossi to return strongly to the light applications market, with
a product made entirely in Italy, efficient, connected and sustainable.

The power of a technical-commercial network close to the customer, anywhere in the world

The reliability of Rossi solutions is guaranteed globally through 16 branches distributed in the main target markets, 13 of which offer local technical assistance, including assembly, in addition to Rossi authorized service centers, distributors and authorized centers equivalent to branches for after-sales services.

Wherever intervention is needed, two teams are involved: Customer Sales Support – CSS -, which manages pre- and post-sales relations, as well as order management; and Tech Sales Support – TSS -, focused on technical aspects and ready to intervene independently and on-site to resolve technical problems. But the after-sales phase is also covered by a dense network represented by over 100 Rossi authorized distributors and centers, which act according to agreements with the branches in the territory, to guarantee quality Made in Italy anywhere in the world.

The extensive network and customer orientation ensure fast delivery times, allowing Rossi company to deliver iFIT within 3 working weeks (10 days for the coaxial version), with targets to be achieved by 2025 of 8 working days for the coaxial and parallel axis versions and 10 working days for the conical-cylindrical version, allowing for uninterrupted supply even when out of stock, thanks to an On Time Delivery of 98%.

The choice of a global logistics carrier also ensures 24-hour delivery times within the EU and 24 hours between preparation and dispatch for non-EU countries. Branches located in the best-performing markets also have their own warehouses, allowing the replication of the European model in more remote areas. Finally, a dedicated iFIT warehouse, strategically located in Puglia, ensures service and fast delivery anywhere in Italy.

Sustainability by design

With a specially conceived design and a special attention to the environment, iFIT has advanced qualities in terms of sustainability. In fact, Rossi's production philosophy is characterized by an ecologically oriented regime, with average energy savings of up to 25%. The advantages include energy savings and a high product life cycle.

In fact, iFIT allows customers to choose the size of the gearmotor according to the actual production needs, thus ensuring significant cost savings due to the energy saved. The eco-sustainability of iFIT is also ensured by the low-energy mechanical component, reinforced by the decentralized dDrive. This is a control device that optimizes the use of gearmotors in terms of performance and energy efficiency. The inverter allows the gearmotor to access a wider range of speeds and torques.

The combination of iFIT and dDrive makes it possible to offer a complete solution, a package optimized for speed, torque and energy-saving performance.
The construction features allow Rossi, the only brand on the market, to offer its customers a 3-year warranty for its equipment.

iFIT in brief

A strong point in Rossi's offer for light applications, iFIT is the range of compact geared motors in bevel-cylindrical, coaxial and parallel-axis versions, which stand out for their flexibility, integrability, high torque standards and plug & play replacement without imposing redesign costs. The iFIT design, characterized by a cast iron housing preferred to the more common aluminum, features rounded shapes and a C4 type coating that ensures a high corrosion category, while minimizing risks of deformation, vibrations, gear misalignment and noise, with benefits ranging from machine cleanliness to the comfort of the environment in which the iFIT is placed.

The design and versatility of the iFIT also allow its integration into any production environment with reduced installation and start-up times, in a plug and play logic. The high quality of the chosen materials, such as precision gears according to DIN/ISO 6 or higher, ensures low noise, low angular backlash and high torque, with an overall 12% increase in output torque. All products are also supplemented with synthetic oil to promote longer life and better efficiency of the components.

The configuration thus allows a significant reduction in engine overload, with less overload on mechanical parts subject to wear, for overall savings in both maintenance and replacement and repair. Reliability is ensured by a component rectification, which increases product efficiency while reducing energy and material consumption.
Versions with premium efficiency IE2 or IE3 electric motors (IEC or NEMA) are also available, equipped with smart, IoT-based dDrive decentralized inverters for high levels of efficiency and connectivity, under a wide range of operating and environmental conditions.
In terms of connectivity, the latest generation Bluetooth interface allows remote management via mobile/tablet and app, providing monitoring and management of equipment issues without sacrificing high standards of IT security, ensured through local remote access by the operator.

*Editor's Note: What does "THE LIGHT DUTY MARKET" mean?

Deadline "light duty market" (light-duty market) refers to a segment of the industrial market that includes equipment, machinery or components designed for tasks or applications with less intense requirements in terms of power, strength or load capacity, compared to equipment "heavy duty" (for heavy loads).

In the context of the Rossi communiqué, "light duty market" designates the field of industrial applications where iFIT geared motors are used, such as simpler automation, production lines with moderate loads or equipment that does not require extreme torque capacities or durability. It is a segment where efficiency, compactness and sustainability are priorities, and Rossi aims to position itself as a leader with its iFIT products.
