This year I visited for the first time Host, first out of curiosity, because I had heard many positive opinions in the past years, and then also because I had received invitations from several of our suppliers, present at this exhibition.
For those who do not know or have not visited Host, it must be said that the exhibition is organized in Milan, every two years, being globally renowned for the complete solutions offered to the sector of restaurants (combined with bakery and pizzeria), bars, cafes and hotels.
As a result of the changes made in the market in recent years, but also of the success recorded in previous editions, this year the presented solutions were completed by the presence of numerous stands dedicated to bakery and pastry, as well as gelato and chocolate.
With what impressions I came from Host
A grandiose manifestation, unique in terms of organization and diversity of presented solutions, complete and complex, that's how I could describe, in a few words, the Host Exhibition!
Moreover, I could say that Host is a meeting of professionals from all over the world (being dedicated only to them), which addresses all aspects of the hospitality and enogastronomy industry (culinary art complemented by the knowledge of wine assortments and the correct pairing of the two) and which presents from solutions for large capacity production, down to the finest details of serving the products.
Held on a very modern exhibition platform, which we already knew from other exhibitions in the past, and in a professional organizational framework, we found here an influx of visitors, speakers of a great diversity of languages, and a cosmopolitan environment, in that all those present had well-defined goals: to learn about the news in the field and conclude business agreements.
Beyond the meetings between exhibitors and visitors interested in the products or solutions presented in the stands, Host 2019 proved to be a new opportunity for exchanges of information and experiences.
I was particularly impressed by the multitude of events organized here, which targeted all sectors of the profile industry: bakery and pastry, restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, confectionery and chocolatiers. Various professional associations, but also consultants, experts or professionals of the sector from all over the world were involved in the organization of demonstration or information events, which touched on the most diverse current themes. A special emphasis was placed on sustainability and 4.0 technology, artificial intelligence and digitization.
Of course, I could not attend many such events, although various interesting topics were announced in the exhibition program, which I would have liked to attend. In total, over 800 events were organized!
Host represented a very good opportunity not only to meet again the traditional partners of the Nova Pan company, but also to get to know other manufacturers who offer current or innovative solutions for the sector in which we operate. We are optimistic that we will be able to propose and implement them on the Romanian market as well, now that the differences with developed countries have been partially recovered.
When talking about high-quality culinary preparations, bakery products or confectionery, in most cases, producers from France and Italy are the reference. ,,battle" it has always been between these two culinary styles and concepts, and opinions are always divided. Thus, it is not surprising that owners of various businesses in the field, from all over the world, came to Host Milano, being sure that they will find here the best solutions, ideas and technologies for culinary products, pizza, pasta, but also raw materials for the famous expresso or "gelato", representative products for Italy.
In this regard, a material published by the Host organizers presents the statement of an expert in the field, from Japan, in which he emphasizes the fact that culinary products,,Made in Italy” are increasingly appreciated in recent years also on the Japanese market. That's why professionals in the field in Japan know how to distinguish between products "made in Italy" and thoseItalian sounding" (which only resemble the Italian ones). More recently, they want Italian technologies and even raw materials, to be able to offer the Japanese market the most authentic products. ,,At Host we find all these types of products, which help us meet the demands and, in addition, a wide selection of international solutions", declares the Japanese expert.
In conclusion, good ideas and quality circulate freely across the globe, leading to the delight of consumers everywhere, and such an exhibition is an ambassador of excellence in their propagation. In a more plastic expression, I would say that participating in such an event is like when you take a few concentrated pills and in a short time you realize that your problems have been solved!
