• On March 30, the Royal Family of Romania hosted, for the first time, the Elisabeta Palace Evening dedicated to the Hospitality Culture Institute, marking a historic moment for the recognition of the Institute's role in the development and professionalization of the hospitality industry in Romania.
The event was hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Radu, on behalf of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, and took place in the Kings' Hall.
The event celebrated the work of the Hospitality Culture Institute, the European research and leadership platform that studies how gastronomic culture, hospitality and services shape human behavior and contribute to the generation of economic value.
The Elisabeta Palace evening dedicated to the Hospitality Culture Institute brought together industry leaders from across the country, entrepreneurs, professionals and laureates of the Romanian Hospitality Awards – the most important initiative to recognize excellence in hospitality in Romania.
Opening the event, HRH Prince Radu stressed the importance of the sector in building Romania's image, highlighting the fact that it is the first time that Elisabeta Palace hosts such an event dedicated to the hospitality industry, marking a new page in its history. "multi-century between Romanian hospitality and the Romanian Crown".

"This is the first time that the Elisabeta Palace hosts a Palace afternoon dedicated to hospitality, specifically to the Cultural Institute of Romanian Hospitality and the Annual Gala to which I granted patronage some time ago. I greatly appreciated your annual event. It was wonderfully prepared at the Romanian Athenaeum, then at the National Opera, and it speaks for itself about the aspirations you have, the potential you represent, and the moment at which this industry, which deserved much more than that since the early 90s, is now, after a delay of several decades.", HRH Prince Radu declared.
At the same time, Florin Maxim, founder of the Hospitality Culture Institute, called for collaboration and the development of a common vision through which hospitality can fully realize its potential.
"Hospitality is one of the most authentic forms through which Romania expresses itself. The way we welcome people, tell stories and carry forward our values in fact says who we are.
In this context, the Hospitality Culture Institute celebrates 10 years of activity, and today, more than ever, we believe that the future of this sector depends on our ability to build together. Through collaboration, trust and a shared vision, Romanian hospitality has the chance to fully realize its potential and consolidate its place on the international map.”, said Florin Maxim.

A special moment of the evening was offered by chef Alex Petricean, named "Best Chef in Romania" at the last 5 editions of the Romanian Hospitality Awards. The founder of the restaurant "NOUA. Romanian Cuisine" reinterpreted traditional Romanian dishes in a contemporary manner, illustrating the potential of local gastronomy to become a strategic vector of differentiation at an international level.
The organization of this first edition of the Elisabeta Palace Evening dedicated to Romanian hospitality marks an important step in strengthening the dialogue between the private sector, the professional community and institutions with a strategic role in Romania's development, at a time when the industry needs coherence, collaboration and long-term vision.
