The competition took place on October 21-22 The World Trophy of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate in Milan, organized by the International Federation of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate (FIPGC – International Federation of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate). The Romanian team won the prize for the best pralines, "Prize for Best Praline", But and the special prize offered by one of the sponsors of the event, the Italian company SilikoMart.

Romania was represented in Milan by Alexandru Chitic, Corina Balazs, Erika Gălbinașu and Carmela Dragomir (the owner of the Delice confectionery), who trained the team members for more than 6 months. The theme of the 2019 championship was "Art and national tradition”, and the national team really created works of art, thanks to the passion and professionalism they showed. All the preparation and effort put in during the two days of the competition brought the four participants satisfaction and worldwide recognition.
