• This project is developed by Puratos Romania and is the only school in the dual system exclusively dedicated to the training of future bakers, pastry chefs and chocolatiers.
Bakery School opened its doors to the second generation of students. In total, 39 students, of which 24 students in the 15th grade and XNUMX students in the XNUMXth grade will prepare under the careful guidance of the school's teachers.

The two classes are part of the extensive Bakery School project that Puratos Romania launched last year, through which it wants to start investments of almost half a million euros in the next three years, in the development of three schools in a dual system for this industry in the counties of Cluj, Iași and Dâmbovița.

"Our long-term mission is to develop the labor market in the industry we represent. Almost every company in Romania, which operates in this industry, faces a lack of qualified personnel. Steps to have a prosperous future must be started now. This is the reason why Puratos Romania invests in the development of several dual education classes to deliver qualified workforce or future entrepreneurs trained for the bakery, pastry-confectionery and chocolate industry in Romania", said Gabriela Bereș, Puratos Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe.
The second generation of students comes from disadvantaged families
The second generation of students is made up of children from disadvantaged families from several localities in Dâmbovița county, based on the partnership concluded by the company with the Dâmbovița School Inspectorate. "All the 39 students we have enrolled at the Bakery School are children who really want to have a beautiful job, which involves passion and which will allow them to secure a future for themselves and their families. Most of their life stories are impressive. We provide everyone with all the conditions (transportation, tablets for online school, uniforms, scholarships) and we bring them into practice at the Innovation Center we have in Ilfov county, together with the best teachers selected by us", explained Gabriela Bereș.
