More than 10 traditional Chinese food manufacturers have increased their profits by more than 44 million dollars since 2015, after participating in an innovative program to integrate ultra-modern robots into the production flow.
Robots were placed at various points to monitor the condition of food from raw material to final product. With the help of electrical and optical sensors and software that runs a complex algorithm, the robots had the mission of looking for certain patterns in the collected data and ensuring product quality, but also increasing productivity. After three years, entrepreneurs who were involved in this program funded by the Chinese government saw the improvement of product quality and the reduction of production costs.
All this has led to increased profits for the participating companies, and now there is talk of the mass application of this technology. However, while manufacturers have benefited from robots replacing the senses of human experts, not everyone is ready to let a device have the final say in Chinese cuisine
