Products with fillers are increasingly in demand on the market

We are consuming more and more pastries and confectionery with fillings, according to a study by Transparency Market Research (TMR). Struts, puffs, croissants, doughnuts, tarts, croissants, pies or cakes are all tastier if they have a quality filling inside, regardless of its texture or flavor. The 5 most popular flavors in the last two years, present in the products launched in Eastern Europe, are chocolate, cocoa, strawberry, cherry or sour cherry, and vanilla.

Europeans are consuming more products with fillers because their lifestyles have changed recently. Among the most important factors are: the concern for a healthy diet, the increased tendency to eat snacks between meals, the desire to test innovative products and flavors, the development of technologies.

 

 

 

 

 

Regarding texshift, this can be of several types: with pieces of fruit, paste, with crunchy inclusions or with a creamy texture. The diversity of the range of fillers benefits both producers and consumers.

Moreover, the pastry and confectionery products follow the trends present on the global market, falling recently into one or more categories: natural, traditional, organic, premium, healthy, ethical or snacking.

Fillings with up to 70% fruit content
