• In the context of a broad industrial revolution movement, it is obvious that innovation increasingly rhymes with sustainability.
Rossi Group – leader in the industrial transmission sector, part of the Moovimenta Group and active for 70 years in the most important international markets – has undoubtedly been one of the protagonists of this ecologically oriented change for some time, and the new production center in Ganaceto is an important demonstration in this regard.
The new production center in Ganaceto: logistical efficiency and environmental sustainability
This project represents a significant investment in the Modena area and reflects the company's commitment to sustainable production practices. Developed on an area of 3.575 square meters, within a total area of 14.570 square meters, the new center in Ganaceto features state-of-the-art solutions, compliant with the latest environmental regulations, including a rooftop photovoltaic system, advanced building automation systems and LED lighting. Its main goal is to generate a significant increase in production capacity, an improvement in logistical efficiency and a reduction in CO2 emissions. In the new center, in addition to the new machine tools, the technologies necessary to manufacture products adapted to the requirements of Modena will be optimized: a choice with an impact, including for minimizing handling and transport operations, leading to significant savings in CO2 emissions.

Investments in renewable energy
The focus on renewable energy sources is an important part of the Rossi Group. A photovoltaic system with a capacity of 340 kWp is installed on the roof of the new center, capable of producing 410.500 kWh of clean energy annually. This system is in addition to the one under construction at the existing centers in Ganaceto, which will have a capacity of 900 kWp and an estimated annual production of 1.080.498 kWh. The new center in Lecce, dedicated to iFIT technologies, also benefits from a photovoltaic system of 72 kWp, with an annual production of 102.139 kWh.
Circular economy
Logistic and environmental efficiency, renewable energy, but not only that. The Rossi Group has also implemented other initiatives to improve the company's sustainability:
- Cold pressing technology in factories, with the elimination of 3 ovens and energy savings of 323.400 kWh/year. Another oven was eliminated this summer;
- Automatic systems for chip centrifugation and oil reuse, which lead to a significant reduction in waste, savings of over 60% on oil supply, reuse of over 50% of recovered oil and reduction in disposal costs;
- Selective collection, recycling and reuse of packaging in the workshop, with a 74% reduction in undifferentiated collection;
- Energy Efficiency, by gradually replacing traditional lighting with LED lights and automation systems for heating and lighting control;
- Social initiatives, with the arrangement of a relaxation area in the main headquarters, equipped with a compactor for bottles and cans and a shredder for plastic cups and water dispensers, to promote selective collection, as well as a union agreement in force since the 1970s, which provides for the payment of employee public transport passes, encouraging the use of public transport and reducing air pollution.

Rossi Group: the importance of location
Rossi Group invested approximately 5 million euros for the new center in Ganaceto. In Lecce, the group continues to support social sustainability with 175 employees for the center dedicated to iFIT technology and a fruitful collaboration with the University of Lecce for the recruitment of technical talents that enrich the team and the competitiveness of the company. This global vision underlines the sensitivity of a company that considers its evolution as a synergy between its own resources and the territory in which it operates, to which it guarantees jobs and innovation in the name of a human capital that is increasingly becoming the key to a successful strategy.
