• Philaposte Group, the operational department responsible for the execution of the official French philatelic program, belonging to the La Poste group, in collaboration with CNBPF, launches a stamp with the image of the wand.
stamp "french baguette" was presented at Syndicate des Boulangers du Grand Paris, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, at the end of March 2024.
"The baton transcends borders to become an international symbol. The inscription of this artisan know-how and its culture in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage attests to its influence and consecrates it as an ambassador of artisan bakers." said Dominique Anract, the president UIBC (International Union of Bakers and Confectioners) and of the National Confederation of Bakers of France (Confédération Nationale de la Boulangerie Pâtisserie Française) within the event.
With him were Ariel Weil, mayor of Paris-Centre, Dorine Bregman, deputy mayor of Paris, in charge of public spaces, local trade, crafts, economic development and tourism, Fréderic Morin, deputy director of the group Philaposte La Poste Groupe, Stéphane Humbert-Basset, the philatelic artist who created the stamp design, and Sébastien Doley, Secretary General of the Paris Bakers' Organization.
This stamp, which has great symbolic value for French artisan bakers, will go on sale starting on May 16, 2024, the day of Saint-Honoré, the patron saint of bakers.
